My review of the album 'Phlake': The essence of Phlake

Since the new album was published on Friday, I haven't stopped listening. The evolution towards new sounds has been a success, but the songs continue to maintain the essence of Phlake. It is very difficult to define the album with a word, at least it is impossible for me, I only know that it is very special and that it has left an incredible sensation when i heard it.

I like all the songs, but if I could only choose just one it would be 'Silly Dancer' (this song has touched my soul, is very special)  when the first musical notes begin to sound you feel something awaken inside you, a very good feeling, the song causes many emotions to come together. The voice of Mads and Mercedes The Virus merge very well, not only in this song; you can feel the musical connection that exists between the two. The voice of Mads it's gold, adapts well to the different vocal register.

Jonathan has done an incredible job, for me he is a genius. The passion that he puts into what he does is appreciated in the lyrics and in the music, and as always he tries to take it to a higher level, and he succeeds.

All Phlake fans were fortunate to hear some of the songs before the album was released, 'Waited All Summer' in 2018, 'Baby Steps' in 2019 and 'Slip Away' and 'Sleepwalker' this year. All four are great songs, each with its own identity;

On the other hand, I liked the guitar (with that Spanish touch) in the song 'Aliens Need Love'. If there is something that I have always liked about Phlake it is the introductions to the songs, and on this album they are very powerful. Each song is like living a , but each moment brings you to the same end, different moment, and it is the connection to music; with each musical note, with the lyrics.

In conclusion,  I can only say that I highly recommend listening to it, and when you do you won't want to stop listening to. I'm not an expert in music, but I wanted to share my humble opinion on this wonderful album.

Thanks guys for your music, for making us part of this wonderful journey that is music.

My respect and admiration always
